About AI Morsels
A free weekly AI newsletter: the tools, reads, and big-lab releases that actually matter — each with a one-line verdict.
Who's behind it
I'm Vladimir (@aimorsels), a software engineer. Alongside the day job I build and ship apps as side projects — which means I try AI tools the way you would: on limited time, in messy codebases, with my own money. The newsletter exists because the AI firehose got too big to drink from — a short list with honest verdicts felt more useful than another long one.
How tools get picked
- Found daily, shipped weekly. An automated pipeline watches GitHub trending and the AI firehose every day; the interesting candidates accumulate all week.
- The filter is human. Every issue is reviewed and edited by me before it goes out. The star of the week, the verdicts, the take — those are opinions, and I sign them.
- No pay-to-play. Nobody can buy a placement in the
picks — the tools, reads, and star of the week are editorial,
always. If a sponsor slot ever appears, it will be clearly labelled
and separate from the picks. Links carry a
?ref=aimorselstag so makers know the traffic came from here — that's attribution, not affiliation. No affiliate links. - Banned words: "game-changer", "revolutionary". If a tool is good, one plain sentence can say why.
The format, every Thursday
One highlighted star of the week plus three more tools, three reads worth your time, what the big labs shipped (never all from one company), and a short weekly take. Five minutes to read; everything is archived on the site with no paywall.
